We understand that as families look for a school that is the best fit for them, they may discover that financing their child’s education is a challenge. Damien offers assistance to families within a wide range of income levels, and the school makes every effort to provide each admitted student with the resources he needs to attend the school. We believe that students learn best when their peers are from a variety of economic, cultural and geographic backgrounds.
All financial aid is need-based. Financial aid is available through the Catholic Education Foundation (CEF) and through Damien High School's Spartan Grant programs.
All financial aid is made for one year, therefore, you must reapply each year that you attend Damien High School.
Financial Aid Eligibility
Damien High School uses FACTS Grant & Aid Assessment, an independent, outside provider to collect and analyze family financial data. In computing the amount of the award, Damien considers factors such as family size, income, expenses, assets, liabilities, and priorities for spending. All information submitted is kept confidential. The primary responsibility for financing a private school education rests with the student’s family.
Application Process
The student receiving financial assistance must maintain an acceptable academic rating and conduct record throughout his career here at Damien High School.
Divorced/Separated/Non-Married Parents
We expect financial information from both parents in cases of divorced or separated parents, and parents who never married, regardless of their legal relationship, and regardless of financial obligations as decided by the courts. If either parent is remarried, financial information from the step-parent is acceptable.
The application process is self-guided. You can navigate in and out of the program allowing you to go back to the application at a later time. There is a $50.00 application fee, payable by credit card at the end of the session. An online e-mail and a helpline is provided through FACTS if additional help is needed. After completing the online application, you are required to submit:
- IRS Form 1040 for 2023 or 2024 tax year (Every page is required: All schedules, worksheets, submissions)
- Schedule C or C-EZ Corporate Tax forms (K1, 1065, 1120s)
Your application cannot be processed without all the required documents listed above. If you submit your 2023 tax forms, your 2024 tax return may be required (at a later date), if more information is needed.
Please note that financial aid funds are limited and demand is high. It is critical that your application and required tax returns are submitted by the deadline date. If you need more information or assistance, please contact Kelvin J. Woods at [email protected] or at (909) 596-1946 ext. 282.
